Points of Concern:
(1) ArtBash
(2) Fundraising
(3) Possible Field Trips
(1) I couldn't find the date of ArtBash this year, so I don't believe they've picked one yet. But looking at how it has been the past couple years, probably mid-November. We want to complete the Game, so at the next meeting Adam G. will start giving out assignments to volunteers and set a schedule so that it gets completed in time. The possible theme could be an Arcade, with other small games mixed in with other projects - an arcade is just an example of some sort of unifying theme, the group can always change it.
(2) We discussed the possibility of fundraising for DAMN through T-shirts and other Digital Media related things. Some suggestions for items to sell were: screen-printed shirts, laser cut objects, and the Game on discs. Aside from fundraising, writing up proposals to get special request money for specific goals: a greenscreen, proper lights, and paper for a possible Art Bash project.
(3) Also possible to get funding for, field trips. Art Basel was the biggest suggestion ( http://www.artbaselmiamibeach.com/ ) and it happens in early December. Smaller local trips would be to Digital Worlds and the CISE head-scanner lab.
Lots of things were discussed but the biggest difference we can make this year is getting the ball rolling by starting these projects and scheduling them out NOW. Assigning other days for project work might be a good idea - like having a Friday where we work in the studio all day, then end it with ordering pizza and using the projector to watch a movie (like the epic Star Trek game-working session, except better). We've got to keep motivated!
